Someone who made a positive impact on my life is my mom. She raised me to put mental health first, always stay kind, and love everyone. I've always looked up to her and wanted to be as hardworking as she is. She's a collage english professor, so we used to always read together and she taught me a lot about the english language! I think that he is faking it. I don't trust him because it's hard to believe he did so many things. He seems nice enough, the stories just don't make sense to me. I think he uses his broke. arm to make people trust him more.  In class today we read a story and filled out a character chart.  It was cool to learn about O Connor, because I did a project on her a few years ago. It was cool to see what I remembered.

I can't think of a time where I was treated differently from anyone in my family. I was an only child and the only grandchild. I can imagine it would be a hard feeling to be treated unfairly within your family.  Summary: Absent Reflection: Absent

During COVID, when there wasn't much to do, I went to play at what I thought was a safe place in the Yellow River. I was warned not to go out, but I saw other people doing it so i assumed I would be fine. I went out anyways because I was curious and almost drowned. My mom had to jump in and get me out.  I think COVID, although seeming negative, brought me closer to my neighbors, friends, and family. Everyone in the U.S was working together to achieve a goal of staying healthy. These are once in a lifetime experiences for most people, causing a lot of stress, but also new opportunities. It brought people together but was also bad, just like 9/11.  I think most people have a difficult time accepting loss or change. In my experience, change is uncomfortable and you have to get used to it. For example, when I moved it was hard because I was used to my room and I had to start over. People who don't have a hard time are probably more adventurous than the average person.  Summary: absent Reflection: absent

Prompt: A house that holds special memories for me is my mom's house. I love my room so much, and it's the first house that's just been me and my mom's. We moved 4 times in 2 years so it's nice having somewhere that feels more long term. My grandmas house is also special to me because I grew up there and always ate dinner with them.  Summary: Today in class we read "A Rose For Emily" and reflected on it.  Reflection: It was interesting to read something different from what we've been reading about in class. I like the southern gothic style of writing.

I felt like time moved fast when I think about last school year. Like homecoming feels like it was only a few months ago, but it's been a whole year. I like that it is moving fast though, because I hate school. Summer is my favorite part of the year Summary: In class we drew pictures representing and Emily Dickinson poem.  This class taught me how to look for different meanings in poems. I also learned more about personification!

A fear I have over come is my fear of rollercoasters. Sophia forced me to go on them when I didn't want to and I had fun. Now I love them. In class today we took our pictures and completed blog posts. Today was a nice break from work.
